Primary Polling Round-Up - KS-1; KS-3

We have polls to report in two of the State's three competitive Primaries today - the 1st and the 4th.

In the first District, Jim Barnett holds a solid lead over Tim Huelskamp, gaining 23% of the vote to Huelskamp's 16%.

  • 23% Barnett
  • 5% Boldra
  • 2% Cobb
  • 16% Huelskamp
  • 4% Mann
  • 4% Shadwick
  • 8% Wasinger
  • 15% Other
  • 23% Undecided
A lot money has been raised in this race, with Huelskamp and Barnett leading the charge. Barnett has a solid lead to work with, but this one still looks to be a pretty hot race.

In the 3rd District, Nick Jordan holds a solid lead, primarily resulting from residual name identification accumulated during the 2008 race.

  • 27% Jordan
  • 9% Yoder
  • 5% Lightner
  • 5% O'Hara

Jordan's main opponent, Kevin Yoder, posted solid numbers for never being a district-wide candidate, however, and raised a substantial amount in the first quarter. He's got plenty of work to do to catch up with Jordan, but is raising the money to make this one competitive.

We'll keep you posted with any additional poll results from the State's other competitive Primary - KS-4 - should they become available.

I kind hearing Tracey Mann's name everywhere. I'm surprised he's not higher up on this poll. This is going to be a tight race.

Jordan's name ID is at 70% and he is only polling at 27%? What a joke. He had his chance for this seat in 2008 and got beat badly. Kevin Yoder, a conservative who has already proven he can raise money, is our best hope at taking this seat back.

Kevin Yoder...conservative? Wait..you aren't talking about the same Kevin Yoder in the House are you?

I find it extremely amusing that representatives vote a certain way nearly their entire careers; then, they decide to run for office and simply pronounce themselves 'conservative.'

Kevin Yoder is no conservative - his colleagues in the State House know it. If the Jordan folks are doing their job correctly, this will all come out in time.

Kevin Yoder had 9% without campaigning, and Jordan had 27% after 3 years... Nice job.

I would consider the source of this polling data. Some yahoo in VA. Never trust polls that do not give either the method or the data to back up their poll. Like this one. I am certain Jordan paid a lot of money for this poll showing him leading making most of the rest of us roflmao.

Yeah I was surprised you got 1% too. Maybe if you keep campaigning for another 4 years you can get it up to 1% in a more reliable poll...

Give the beaner 10 stars for that one. Let me know when I get to `1.1%. This pollster must have ignored WY and DG counties, and most of JOCO as well.

This must have cost Jordan a lot of money to find someone that stated they actually liked Satan. I merely wonder if there are 300 people named Jordan in JOCO? There must be. Either that, or the VA pollster merely called ACORN.
