WHOOPS KATHY
StayRed was amazed to find the following quote from the Gov's spokeswoman in the most recent Steve Kraske column for the KC Star. Nicole (left-wing cover up machine) Corcoran was quoted on behalf of the Governor in regards to the strategy in "winning" the coal-plant vote, "She calls it hand-to-hand combat. She likes to be in the middle of it.”

So let me get this straight, the Governor is equating the coal-plant vote to WAR! It wasn't bad enough she tried to criticize the Bush Administration's response to Greensburg on the backs of Kansas National Guard Troops, but now she is comparing a legislative vote to the lives of our soldiers, very sad.
Come on ladies...there can be arguments waged back-and-forth, for and against the war, but to use it for this petty political purpose is just astonishing.
StayRed is calling for the Governor to apologize and to fire her spokeswoman. Anyone who makes remarks like this shouldn't be receiving a single cent of our tax dollars.
Also, if the Governor and her spokeswoman truly want to be "in the middle of it" I suggest they both resign and join the ranks of our brave young men and women defending our country everyday.

You're stretching it on this one.

Where's the thread on Ben Hodge resigning?

This is...well, in a long history of reading (and occasionally writing) incredibly stupid political commentary, this is certainly the dumbest. This post actually somehow manages to be dumber than when the KU/Mizzou football game had its name changed to the "Border Showdown" because "Border War" was insensitive. Nowhere in this horribly written, ham-fisted spew of verbal diarrhea is there anything resembling an intelligent thought, and the image of the author one gets is that of a frat boy standing through a sunroof waggling his penis at passers-by. The fact that apparently no English teacher ever sat you down and said "Maybe writing isn't for you" is certainly an epic failure of the educational system in my eyes.

Sibileus hasn't been in Kansas for weeks and she won't be back for a long time. She's nowhere near the middle of anything, except some middle-aged left-wing partying.

If she likes hand-to-hand (yuck!) so much, why isn't she putting the hurt on Obama, telling him to please be quiet? Oh yeah, or taking on the Wall Street Journal editorial board?
Pretty big talk for someone who isn't within hundreds of miles of Kansas.

I'm as Republican as it gets, but, I too feel this one is a stretch.

Uh, hey retards, she didn't say "This is war" she said its hand-to-hand combat. You know, like Boxing. And if you're so patriotic, why isn't your ass in Iraq?

Another non-story. Where's your Ben Hodge post? Republican Rep. resigns, questions abound as to what he'll do next and who will succeed him and complete silence from SRK and TKR. Conspiracy buffs would think that Ben really is one of the bloggers here and on TKR or he is at least a good friend and they don't want to focus on the legislature's biggest tool.

The rumor is that he will run for the Senate (either 7th or 8th district). Don't be shocked if Scott Schwab is selected to finish Hodge's term.
Probably not a big deal. If he does run for Senate in one of those districts - whether it's Wysong or Allen - he's got no chance. This isn't the nutty part of JOCO and his nonsense won't fly here.

Schwab has already announced. He doesn't provide the same level of comic relief that Ben does, but conservatives and moderates alike used to roll their eyes and snicker whenever Scott went to the well. Maybe Ben will join the Marines so that he can fight for the right wing theories he loves so well. Hah!

Where is the post on House Rep. Josh Svaty being married to a lobbyist and living in KC rather than his district?
